- There is possibly another SMTP server running on your computer, quite often the built-in one from Microsoft. You must identify and turn off that other SMTP server before you can use the one provided by IzyMail.
- Right-click the 'My Computer' icon, select 'Manage'.
- Select 'Services and Applications', followed by 'Services'.
- Locate and double-click the 'Simple Mail Transfer Protocol' service.
- Set the 'Startup type' to 'Manual'. Click [Stop].
If the problem persists:
- Check your account setup and watch out for an _exact_ match between the 'email address' (sometimes 'return address') and the account name. IzyMail needs to send and receive with the same account name.
- It has been reported in some rare cases that a password change corrects the 451 error. The reason for that is unclear, but you may want to give it a try.
